As we age, our skin naturally loses its elasticity and youthful glow. However, the secret to reversing this process might just be hidden in the misty embrace of a steam room. Steamroom therapy, a practice dating back centuries, is now being recognized for its remarkable anti-aging benefits. In this blog, we’ll explore how steam rooms can help the baby boomer generation maintain radiant, healthy skin.
Stat: A study showed a 20% increase in skin hydration after regular steam room use.

Steam room therapy offers a natural, effective way to combat the signs of aging. By incorporating regular steam sessions into your routine, you can enjoy healthier, more youthful-looking skin. Embrace the warmth and let the steam work its magic!
I was first introduced to the steam room in 1976 at the downtown YMCA. It didn’t take long to become addicted. I have been fortunate to be a member of athletic clubs throughout my life that furnished steam rooms.
I’ve also had the pleasure of using the dry sauna. There are many benefits from sauna use as well and we shall leave that for another blog.
Most clubs have steam in both male and female locker rooms. If you haven’t used one before, give it a try and you might become addicted as well.
